Instructions
- Clean the fish fillets under cold water and gently pat them dry with a paper towel to remove excess moisture.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the yogurt, lemon juice, garlic paste, ginger paste, turmeric powder, red chili powder, garam masala powder, and salt. Mix thoroughly to create a smooth marinade.
- Add the fish fillets to the marinade, ensuring each piece is well-coated. Cover the bowl and let it marinate in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours, or overnight for the best flavor infusion.
- Preheat your grill to medium heat and lightly oil the grates to prevent sticking.
- Remove the fish from the marinade, shaking off any excess. Grill the fish for about 3-4 minutes on each side, or until the fish is opaque, cooked through, and has a nice charred appearance.
- Serve the Fish Tikka hot, garnished with freshly chopped cilantro and a squeeze of lemon juice for added brightness. Pair it with a side of basmati rice or naan.
Tips
- For an extra smoky flavor, consider using a charcoal grill.
- You can substitute fish with chicken or paneer for a different variation.
- Serve with a cooling side of cucumber raita to balance the spice.
