
Fried Fish
Crispy and delicious fried fish made with a flavorful batter.
Ingredients
- Vegetable oil (2 cups)
- Milk (1/2 cup)
- Egg (1)
- Black pepper (1/2 teaspoon)
- Salt (1/2 teaspoon)
- Garlic powder (1 teaspoon)
- Paprika (1 teaspoon)
- Cornmeal (1/2 cup)
- All (purpose flour - 1 cup)
- Fish fillets (4 pieces)
Instructions
- In a shallow dish, combine the flour, cornmeal, paprika, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper.
- In another shallow dish, whisk together the egg and milk.
- Dip each fish fillet into the egg mixture, then coat it with the flour mixture, pressing gently to adhere.
- Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Carefully place the coated fish fillets into the hot oil and cook for about 3-4 minutes per side, or until golden brown and crispy.
- Remove the fish from the skillet and place it on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.
- Serve the fried fish hot with tartar sauce or lemon wedges.
