- All-purpose flour

- Fish fillets

- Tartar sauce

Instructions
- In a shallow dish, mix together the flour, cornmeal, paprika, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper until well combined.
- In another shallow dish, whisk the egg and milk together until smooth.
- Take each fish fillet and first dip it into the egg mixture, allowing any excess to drip off.
- Next, coat the fillet in the flour-cornmeal mixture, pressing lightly to ensure the batter adheres well.
- In a large skillet, heat about 1/2 inch of vegetable oil over medium-high heat until shimmering.
