Crispy and Delectable Fried Fish Sandwich

Ingredients
- White fish fillets

- Cornmeal

- 1
- Milk
- 1 cup
- Vegetable oil
- for frying
- Burger buns
- 4
- Lettuce
- 4 leaves
- Tomato

- Tartar sauce
- 4 tablespoons
Instructions
- In a shallow dish, mix together the all-purpose flour, cornmeal, paprika, salt, and black pepper.
- In a second shallow dish, whisk together the egg and milk.
- Dip each fish fillet into the flour mixture, then into the egg mixture, and back into the flour mixture to ensure an even coating.
- Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium heat. The oil should be about half an inch deep.
- Add the coated fish fillets to the skillet and cook for 3-4 minutes on each side, or until they turn golden brown and crispy.
- Remove the fish fillets from the skillet and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to drain the excess oil.
- Lightly toast the burger buns in a toaster or on a grill.
- Spread a tablespoon of tartar sauce on the bottom half of each bun.
- Place a fried fish fillet on top of the tartar sauce.
- Top the fish fillet with a lettuce leaf and a couple of tomato slices.
- Cover with the top half of the bun.
