
Fried Fish Sandwich
This crispy and flavorful fried fish sandwich is perfect for a quick and delicious meal.
Ingredients
- Tartar sauce (4 tablespoons)
- Tomato (2 slices)
- Lettuce (4 leaves)
- Burger buns (2)
- Vegetable oil (1/4 cup)
- Milk (2 tablespoons)
- Egg (1)
- Black pepper (1/4 teaspoon)
- Salt (1/2 teaspoon)
- Paprika (1 teaspoon)
- Cornmeal (1/2 cup)
- All (purpose flour - 1/2 cup)
- White fish fillets (2)
Instructions
- In a shallow dish, mix together the flour, cornmeal, paprika, salt, and black pepper.
- In another shallow dish, whisk together the egg and milk.
- Dip each fish fillet into the flour mixture, then into the egg mixture, and back into the flour mixture to coat evenly.
- Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Add the coated fish fillets to the skillet and cook for 3-4 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and crispy.
- Remove the fish fillets from the skillet and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.
- Toast the burger buns in a toaster or on a grill.
- Spread tartar sauce on the bottom half of each bun.
- Place a fried fish fillet on top of the tartar sauce.
- Top with lettuce and tomato slices.
- Cover with the top half of the bun.
- Serve the fried fish sandwiches immediately and enjoy!
