Servings: 4

Ingredients

Ground beef
1 pound
Salt
1 teaspoon
Black pepper
1/2 teaspoon
Burger sauce
1/2 cup
Pickles
1 cup, sliced
Flour
1 cup
Eggs
2, beaten
Breadcrumbs
1 cup
Oil
for frying
Lettuce
4 leaves
Tomato
1, sliced
Hamburger buns
4

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine ground beef with salt and pepper. Form the mixture into 4 equal patties, making a slight indentation in the center of each to prevent puffing during cooking.
  2. Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the burger patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they reach your desired level of doneness.
  3. While the burgers are cooking, prepare the fried pickles. Set up a dredging station: place flour in one bowl, beaten eggs in another, and breadcrumbs in a third.
  4. Dip each pickle slice into flour, then into the beaten eggs, and finally coat with breadcrumbs until well covered.
  5. In a deep fryer or large pot, heat oil to 375°F (190°C). Carefully add the breaded pickles in batches and fry until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes. Remove them with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels.
  6. To assemble the burgers, spread a generous amount of burger sauce on the bottom half of each bun. Layer with lettuce, a cooked burger patty, a slice of tomato, and a few fried pickles. Top with the other half of the bun.
  7. Serve immediately and enjoy the combination of textures and flavors!
