Ingredients
- Lime wedges
- 1 lime, cut into wedges, plus extra for garnish
- Kosher or Margarita salt
- 1 tablespoon, for rimming the glasses
- Ice cubes
- 1 cup
- Simple syrup
- 2 tablespoons
- Fresh lime juice
- 1/4 cup
- Triple sec
- 1/2 cup
- Tequila
- 1 cup
- Frozen mango chunks
- 2 cups
Instructions
- Pour the kosher or margarita salt onto a flat plate. Rub a lime wedge around each glass rim and then dip the rims into the salt to coat.
- In a blender, combine the frozen mango chunks, tequila, triple sec, fresh lime juice, simple syrup, and ice cubes.
- Blend on high speed until the mixture is smooth and creamy, ensuring there are no mango chunks left. This should take about 1-2 minutes.
- Pour the frozen mango margarita into the salt-rimmed glasses, being careful not to wash off the salt on the rim.
- Garnish each glass with a lime wedge on the rim.
- Serve immediately and enjoy the tropical bliss.
Tips
- For an extra kick, consider adding a small jalapeño pepper, seeds removed, to the blender.
- If you prefer your margarita less sweet, reduce the amount of simple syrup or omit it altogether.
