Ingredients

Original recipe serves 4

Lime wedges
1 lime, cut into wedges, plus extra for garnish
Kosher or Margarita salt
1 tablespoon, for rimming the glasses
Ice cubes
1 cup
Simple syrup
2 tablespoons
Fresh lime juice
1/4 cup
Triple sec
1/2 cup
Tequila
1 cup
Frozen mango chunks
2 cups

Instructions

  1. Pour the kosher or margarita salt onto a flat plate. Rub a lime wedge around each glass rim and then dip the rims into the salt to coat.
  2. In a blender, combine the frozen mango chunks, tequila, triple sec, fresh lime juice, simple syrup, and ice cubes.
  3. Blend on high speed until the mixture is smooth and creamy, ensuring there are no mango chunks left. This should take about 1-2 minutes.
  4. Pour the frozen mango margarita into the salt-rimmed glasses, being careful not to wash off the salt on the rim.
  5. Garnish each glass with a lime wedge on the rim.
  6. Serve immediately and enjoy the tropical bliss.

Tips

  • 💡 For an extra kick, consider adding a small jalapeño pepper, seeds removed, to the blender.
  • 💡 If you prefer your margarita less sweet, reduce the amount of simple syrup or omit it altogether.
  • 💡 To make a non-alcoholic version, substitute the tequila and triple sec with orange juice or mango juice.
