Servings: 4
Ingredients
- Olive oil
- 2 tablespoons
- Garlic
- 3 cloves, minced
- Shrimp
- 1 pound, peeled and deveined
- Salt
- to taste
- Black pepper
- to taste
- Marsala wine
- 1 cup
- Unsalted butter
- 2 tablespoons
- Fresh parsley
- 2 tablespoons, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat until shimmering.
- Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute, or until fragrant but not browned.
- Carefully add the shrimp to the skillet, seasoning them with salt and pepper. Cook for 2-3 minutes on each side, or until they turn pink and opaque. Remove the shrimp from the skillet and set aside on a plate.
- Pour the Marsala wine into the same skillet, scraping up any brown bits from the bottom. Bring the wine to a simmer and cook for about 5 minutes, or until it has reduced by half.
- Reduce the heat to low and stir in the unsalted butter until melted and the sauce is smooth and glossy.
- Return the cooked shrimp to the skillet, tossing them in the sauce to coat. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until the shrimp are heated through.
- Remove from heat and sprinkle with freshly chopped parsley before serving.
