Servings: 4

Ingredients

Pizza dough
1 pound
Zucchini
1 medium, thinly sliced
Garlic
4 cloves, minced
Olive oil
3 tablespoons
Salt
1/2 teaspoon, or to taste
Black pepper
1/4 teaspoon, or to taste
Mozzarella cheese
1 cup, shredded
Parmesan cheese
1/2 cup, grated
Fresh basil
1/4 cup, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. On a floured surface, roll out the pizza dough to your desired thickness, typically about 1/4 inch thick.
  3. Transfer the rolled-out dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, ensuring it's evenly spread.
  4. In a small bowl, combine the olive oil and minced garlic to create a garlic oil mixture.
  5. Brush the garlic oil generously over the surface of the dough, allowing the flavors to seep into the crust.
  6. Evenly arrange the sliced zucchini on top of the dough, creating a beautiful pattern.
  7. Sprinkle salt and pepper over the zucchini according to your taste.
  8. Top the zucchini with shredded mozzarella and grated Parmesan cheese, ensuring an even distribution.
  9. Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the edges of the crust are golden brown and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  10. Once baked, remove from the oven and sprinkle with freshly chopped basil for a burst of color and flavor.
  11. Slice into squares or wedges and serve hot, either on its own or with a side of marinara sauce for dipping.
