Garlic-Parmesan Fries

Crispy, golden fries tossed in a rich garlic and Parmesan mixture, perfect as a side dish or snack. Inspired by the vibrant culinary scene of Seattle, these fries are a delightful addition to any meal.

Serves 4

Ingredients

Russet potatoes
4 large, cut into fries
Olive oil
3 tablespoons
Garlic
4 cloves, minced
Parmesan cheese
1/2 cup, grated
Fresh parsley
2 tablespoons, chopped
Salt
1 teaspoon
Black pepper
1/2 teaspoon
Red pepper flakes
1/4 teaspoon (optional, for heat)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. In a large bowl, toss the cut potatoes with olive oil, salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes (if using) until well coated.
  3. Spread the fries in a single layer on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  4. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden and crispy.
  5. While the fries are baking, heat a small skillet over medium heat and add the minced garlic. Sauté for about 1-2 minutes until fragrant, being careful not to burn it.
  6. Once the fries are done, remove them from the oven and immediately toss them in the skillet with the sautéed garlic, Parmesan cheese, and chopped parsley until evenly coated.
  7. Serve hot, garnished with extra parsley and Parmesan if desired.
