Garlic Pork Ribs
Indulge in these mouthwatering garlic pork ribs, marinated in a harmonious blend of sweet and savory flavors. The rich aroma of roasted garlic combined with the sticky glaze of honey and soy sauce creates a delectable dish that will have everyone coming back for seconds. This recipe draws inspiration from traditional Asian barbecue techniques, where marinated meats are slow-cooked to achieve tenderness and depth of flavor. Perfect for gatherings or a cozy family dinner, these ribs are sure to impress!
Ingredients
- Salt
- to taste
- Black pepper
- to taste
- Honey
- 1/4 cup
- Ketchup
- 1/2 cup
- Brown sugar
- 1/4 cup
- Soy sauce
- 1/3 cup
- Garlic
- 6 cloves, minced
- Pork ribs
- 2 pounds
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, combine the minced garlic, soy sauce, brown sugar, ketchup, honey, salt, and black pepper. Whisk until well blended to create a marinade.
- Place the pork ribs in the bowl and coat them thoroughly with the marinade. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or preferably overnight for maximum flavor infusion.
- Preheat the oven to 325°F (163°C).
- Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil for easy cleanup. Arrange the marinated ribs on the baking sheet and cover them loosely with another piece of foil to retain moisture.
- Bake the ribs in the preheated oven for 1 hour.
- After 1 hour, remove the foil and increase the oven temperature to 375°F (191°C). Bake for an additional hour, basting the ribs with the drippings every 20 minutes, until the ribs are tender and caramelized.
- Once cooked, remove the ribs from the oven and let them rest for 10 minutes before slicing. Serve with your favorite sides, such as coleslaw, corn on the cob, or baked beans.
Tips
- For an extra kick, add a teaspoon of chili flakes to the marinade.
- If you prefer grilled ribs, pre-cook them in the oven as directed, then finish on a hot grill for a smoky flavor.
- Pair the ribs with a refreshing cucumber salad to balance the richness of the dish.
