Ingredients

Original recipe serves 1

Premium Gin
2 ounces
Fresh Lemon Juice
1 ounce
Simple Syrup
3/4 ounce
Egg White
1
Ice Cubes
as needed
Lemon Twist
for garnish

Instructions

  1. Start by making the simple syrup. Combine equal parts of sugar and water in a small saucepan. Bring to a simmer and stir until sugar is completely dissolved. Allow to cool before using.
  2. In a cocktail shaker, combine 2 ounces of gin, 1 ounce of fresh lemon juice, and 3/4 ounce of the cooled simple syrup.
  3. Add the egg white to the shaker. This will give your cocktail a beautiful frothy top.
  4. Fill the shaker with ice and then shake vigorously for about 20 seconds. This not only chills the drink, but also helps to emulsify the egg white.
  5. Strain the cocktail into a chilled glass filled with ice. This removes any unwanted ice shards and creates a smoother drinking experience.
  6. For the final touch, twist a thin strip of lemon peel over the glass to release its essential oils, then drop it in as a garnish.
  7. Serve your Classic Gin Sour immediately, and savor every sip.
