Ingredients

Original recipe serves 4

Fresh mint leaves
a handful for garnish
Ice cubes
as needed
Lemon juice
1 tablespoon
Honey
1/4 cup
Peaches
2, ripe and sliced
Fresh ginger
1 inch, thinly sliced
Black tea bags
4
Water
4 cups

Instructions

  1. Bring 4 cups of water to a rolling boil in a large pot.
  2. Add the black tea bags and slices of fresh ginger to the boiling water. Steep for 5 minutes to allow the flavors to infuse.
  3. After 5 minutes, remove the tea bags and ginger slices from the pot. Discard them.
  4. Lower the heat, add the sliced peaches to the pot, and let simmer for 10 minutes until the peaches are soft.
  5. Add the honey and lemon juice, stirring until the honey is dissolved.
  6. Remove the pot from the heat and let the mixture cool to room temperature. Once cooled, refrigerate for at least 2 hours or until chilled.
  7. When ready to serve, fill glasses with ice cubes. Pour the chilled ginger peach tea over the ice.
  8. Garnish each glass with a sprig of fresh mint leaves and serve immediately. Enjoy the revitalizing taste of your homemade Ginger Peach Iced Tea!
