Instructions
- In a small saucepan, combine the water, cinnamon, and cardamom. Bring to a rolling boil.
- While the water is boiling, place the coarsely ground Arabica coffee beans in a French press or a coffee maker.
- Once the water mixture is boiling, carefully pour it over the coffee grounds and let steep for 4 minutes. This step allows the coffee to absorb the spice flavors.
- In a separate saucepan, gently heat the milk until it is hot but not boiling, stirring occasionally to prevent scalding.
- After 4 minutes, press down the plunger on the French press or strain the coffee into a separate container to remove the grounds.
- In a large mug, combine the brewed coffee with the cocoa powder and honey. Stir until the cocoa powder is fully dissolved and the mixture is well blended.
- Pour the hot milk into the mug and stir gently to incorporate all the flavors.
- Serve your Giza Plateau Coffee hot, optionally garnished with a sprinkle of cocoa powder or a cinnamon stick for an extra touch.
Tips
- For a richer flavor, consider using whole milk or a milk alternative like almond or oat milk.
- Adjust the amount of honey to suit your sweetness preference, or try using maple syrup for a different flavor profile.
- If you enjoy a stronger coffee taste, increase the amount of coffee beans used.
