Ingredients
- Chicken breasts
- 1.5 pounds, cut into bite-sized pieces
- Gochujang paste
- 1/4 cup
- Soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons
- Honey
- 1 tablespoon
- Garlic
- 3 cloves, minced
- Ginger
- 1 tablespoon, grated
- Vegetable oil
- 2 tablespoons
- Salt
- 1/2 teaspoon
- Black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon
- Green onions
- 2, chopped (for garnish)
- Sesame seeds
- 1 tablespoon (for garnish)
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together the gochujang paste, soy sauce, honey, minced garlic, grated ginger, vegetable oil, salt, and black pepper to create a flavorful marinade.
- Add the bite-sized chicken pieces to the marinade, ensuring they are well-coated. Cover and let it marinate for at least 1 hour in the refrigerator, or overnight for enhanced flavor.
- Preheat your grill or oven to medium-high heat (about 400°F/200°C).
- Thread the marinated chicken pieces onto skewers, leaving a little space between each piece for even cooking.
- Grill or bake the skewers for about 10-12 minutes, turning occasionally, until the chicken is cooked through, slightly charred, and has reached an internal temperature of 165°F (75°C).
- Remove the skewers from heat and garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds.
- Serve hot and enjoy these delicious skewers with rice or a fresh salad.
Tips
- For extra flavor, add a splash of rice vinegar to the marinade.
- Feel free to mix in vegetables like bell peppers or zucchini on the skewers for added nutrition and color.
- If you prefer a milder version, reduce the amount of gochujang or substitute with a sweet chili sauce.
