Ingredients

Original recipe serves 4

Chicken breasts
1.5 pounds, cut into bite-sized pieces
Gochujang paste
1/4 cup
Soy sauce
2 tablespoons
Honey
1 tablespoon
Garlic
3 cloves, minced
Ginger
1 tablespoon, grated
Vegetable oil
2 tablespoons
Salt
1/2 teaspoon
Black pepper
1/4 teaspoon
Green onions
2, chopped (for garnish)
Sesame seeds
1 tablespoon (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the gochujang paste, soy sauce, honey, minced garlic, grated ginger, vegetable oil, salt, and black pepper to create a flavorful marinade.
  2. Add the bite-sized chicken pieces to the marinade, ensuring they are well-coated. Cover and let it marinate for at least 1 hour in the refrigerator, or overnight for enhanced flavor.
  3. Preheat your grill or oven to medium-high heat (about 400°F/200°C).
  4. Thread the marinated chicken pieces onto skewers, leaving a little space between each piece for even cooking.
  5. Grill or bake the skewers for about 10-12 minutes, turning occasionally, until the chicken is cooked through, slightly charred, and has reached an internal temperature of 165°F (75°C).
  6. Remove the skewers from heat and garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds.
  7. Serve hot and enjoy these delicious skewers with rice or a fresh salad.

Tips

  • 💡 For extra flavor, add a splash of rice vinegar to the marinade.
  • 💡 Feel free to mix in vegetables like bell peppers or zucchini on the skewers for added nutrition and color.
  • 💡 If you prefer a milder version, reduce the amount of gochujang or substitute with a sweet chili sauce.
