- 2 tablespoons Mayonnaise
- 1, sliced Tomato
- 4 leaves Romaine Lettuce
- 4 slices Gouda cheese
- 4 slices Wholegrain Bread

Instructions
- In a small bowl, combine the mayonnaise and Dijon mustard to make the spread.
- Spread the homemade mustard-mayo evenly on one side of each slice of wholegrain bread.
- On two of the slices, place a slice of Gouda cheese.
- Layer the lettuce and tomato slices on top of the Gouda cheese. Sprinkle with salt and pepper to taste.
- Top with the remaining slices of bread, with the spread side facing down.
- Heat a pan over medium heat. Add the sandwiches and cook until the bread is golden brown and the cheese has melted, approximately 2-3 minutes on each side.
- Take off the heat, slice each sandwich in half, and serve immediately.
Tips
- For a crunchier texture, consider adding cucumber or pickles to the sandwich.
- For an added layer of flavor, you can also include slices of ham or turkey.
