Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, ground pork, finely chopped onion, minced garlic, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and black pepper. Use your hands to gently mix the ingredients until just combined, taking care not to overwork the meat to ensure tender patties.
- Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and shape each into a patty, creating a slight indentation in the center of each patty to prevent puffing during cooking.
- Preheat a large skillet or grill over medium-high heat. Once hot, place the patties in the skillet and cook for about 5 minutes on each side, or until they reach an internal temperature of 160°F (71°C) and are nicely browned.
- During the last minute of cooking, place a slice of cheese on each patty and cover with a lid to help the cheese melt beautifully.
- Remove the patties from the skillet and let them rest for a minute while you toast the hamburger buns in the same skillet until they are golden brown and slightly crisp.
- Assemble the burgers by placing each cheesy patty on a toasted bun. Add your favorite toppings such as crisp lettuce, juicy tomato slices, crunchy pickles, or any condiments you desire. Serve immediately and enjoy the explosion of flavors!
Tips
- For an extra flavor boost, try adding a tablespoon of your favorite barbecue sauce to the meat mixture before shaping the patties.
- Experiment with different types of cheese to discover your ideal flavor combination.
- For a spicy kick, add some diced jalapeños or a dash of hot sauce to the meat mixture.
