Grapefruit Jalapeno Cooler

Ingredients

Fresh mint leaves

1/4 cup, plus extra for garnish

Ice cubes

2 cups

Sparkling water

4 cups

Honey

3 tablespoons (adjust to taste)

Jalapeno

1 small, sliced (remove seeds for less heat)

Fresh grapefruit juice

2 cups (about 3-4 grapefruits)

Grapefruit slices

Instructions

1. Begin by juicing the fresh grapefruits to yield about 2 cups of juice. Strain if desired to remove pulp.
2. In a large pitcher, combine the grapefruit juice, sliced jalapeno, and honey. Stir well until the honey is fully dissolved.
3. Add the ice cubes to the pitcher, followed by the sparkling water. Stir gently to combine, taking care not to lose the fizz.
4. Taste the mixture and adjust the sweetness by adding more honey if preferred.
5. Pour the Grapefruit Jalapeno Cooler into glasses filled with additional ice if desired.
6. Garnish each glass with fresh mint leaves and a slice of grapefruit on the rim.
7. Serve chilled and enjoy this refreshing and spicy beverage!
