Servings: 4

Ingredients

Fresh parsley
1/4 cup, chopped
Lemon juice
2 tablespoons
Greek yogurt
1 cup
Olive oil
2 tablespoons
Black pepper
1/2 teaspoon
Salt
1 teaspoon
Egg
1, beaten
Fresh oregano
1/4 cup, chopped
Garlic
2 cloves, minced
Onion
1 small, finely chopped
Breadcrumbs
1/2 cup
Ground beef
1 pound

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, chopped onion, minced garlic, chopped oregano, beaten egg, salt, and black pepper. Mix well using your hands or a spoon until all ingredients are evenly incorporated.
  2. Shape the mixture into small meatballs, about 1 inch in diameter, and place them on a baking sheet.
  3. Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Once hot, carefully add the meatballs to the skillet. Cook for about 8-10 minutes, turning occasionally, until the meatballs are browned on all sides and cooked through.
  4. In a separate bowl, mix together the Greek yogurt, lemon juice, and chopped parsley to create a refreshing sauce. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  5. Serve the meatballs hot, accompanied by the yogurt sauce on the side for dipping. Enjoy with warm pita bread or over a bed of rice.
