Ingredients

Original recipe serves 1

Water
2 cups
Green tea bag
1 bag
Honey
1-2 teaspoons (to taste)
Lemon slice
1 slice (fresh)

Instructions

  1. In a kettle or pot, bring 2 cups of water to a rolling boil.
  2. Once the water is boiling, remove it from heat and let it sit for about 30 seconds to cool slightly; this prevents bitterness in the tea.
  3. Place the green tea bag in your favorite cup or mug.
  4. Pour the hot water over the tea bag, ensuring it is fully submerged.
  5. Allow the tea to steep for 2-3 minutes, depending on your desired strength. The longer it steeps, the richer the flavor.
  6. After steeping, carefully remove the tea bag.
  7. Sweeten your tea with honey, adding 1 to 2 teaspoons to taste. Stir well until dissolved.
  8. Garnish with a fresh slice of lemon for a bright, citrusy twist.
  9. Enjoy your refreshing green tea hot, or let it cool and serve over ice for a chilled treat.

Tips

  • 💡 For added flavor, consider infusing your green tea with fresh mint leaves or ginger slices during the steeping process.
  • 💡 If you prefer a sweeter drink, adjust the amount of honey or try agave syrup as an alternative.
  • 💡 Green tea can also be enjoyed cold. Simply brew it hot, let it cool, and serve it over ice with additional lemon for a refreshing iced tea.
