Servings: 4
Ingredients
- Bottom sirloin steak (2 pounds)
- Olive oil (1/4 cup)
- Garlic (4 cloves, minced)
- Salt (1 tablespoon)
- Black pepper (1 teaspoon)
- Fresh rosemary (2 tablespoons, chopped)
- Fresh thyme (2 tablespoons, chopped)
- Lemon juice (2 tablespoons)
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, combine the olive oil, minced garlic, salt, black pepper, chopped rosemary, chopped thyme, and lemon juice to create the marinade.
- Place the bottom sirloin steak in a resealable plastic bag or a shallow dish. Pour the marinade over the steak, ensuring it's well-coated. Seal the bag or cover the dish, and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, preferably overnight for maximum flavor.
- Preheat the grill to high heat, ensuring it's properly cleaned and oiled to prevent sticking.
- Remove the steak from the marinade and let it come to room temperature for about 20 minutes before grilling.
- Place the steaks on the grill and cook for 6-7 minutes per side for medium-rare, or until desired doneness is reached (130°F for medium-rare, 140°F for medium). Use a meat thermometer for accuracy.
- Remove the steaks from the grill and let them rest for 5-10 minutes before slicing. This allows the juices to redistribute, ensuring a moist and flavorful steak.
- Slice against the grain and serve with your favorite sides.
