Ingredients

Corn on the cob
4 ears, husked
Unsalted butter
1/2 cup, softened
Garlic
2 cloves, minced
Fresh herbs (such as parsley, cilantro, or basil)
1/4 cup, finely chopped
Salt
1/2 teaspoon, or to taste
Black pepper
1/4 teaspoon, or to taste
Kitchen twine
as needed for tying husks

Instructions

  1. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat (about 400°F or 200°C).
  2. Carefully peel back the husks of the corn without removing them completely, leaving them attached at the base.
  3. Remove the silk from the corn and discard it.
  4. In a small mixing bowl, combine the softened butter, minced garlic, chopped herbs, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly incorporated.
  5. Generously spread the herb butter mixture over each ear of corn, ensuring to coat all sides for maximum flavor.
  6. Fold the husks back over the corn and tie them securely with kitchen twine to hold them in place.
  7. Place the corn on the preheated grill and cook for about 10-15 minutes, turning occasionally, until the corn is tender and has nice grill marks.
  8. Once cooked, remove the corn from the grill and allow it to cool for a few minutes. Carefully remove the husks before serving.
