Ingredients

Wooden skewers
8-10, soaked in water for 30 minutes
Salt
1 teaspoon, or to taste
Black pepper
1/2 teaspoon, or to taste
Olive oil
2 tablespoons
Lime juice
2 tablespoons, freshly squeezed
Honey
1 tablespoon
Soy sauce
1/4 cup
Fresh ginger
1 tablespoon, grated
Garlic
3 cloves, minced
Pork tenderloin
1 pound, cut into 1-inch cubes

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the minced garlic, grated ginger, soy sauce, honey, lime juice, olive oil, salt, and pepper to create the marinade.
  2. Add the pork cubes to the marinade, ensuring they are well coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, or overnight for enhanced flavor.
  3. While the pork is marinating, soak wooden skewers in water for about 30 minutes to prevent burning on the grill.
  4. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
  5. Thread the marinated pork cubes onto the soaked wooden skewers, leaving a little space between each piece for even cooking.
  6. Grill the skewers for about 10-12 minutes, turning occasionally, until the pork is cooked through and has a nice char.
  7. Once cooked, remove the skewers from the grill and let them rest for a few minutes.
  8. Serve the grilled pork skewers with the tangy dipping sauce on the side for a perfect pairing.

Tips

  • 💡 For a more intense flavor, marinate the pork overnight.
  • 💡 Feel free to add vegetables like bell peppers, onions, or zucchini onto the skewers for a colorful presentation.
  • 💡 These skewers can also be cooked in the oven or on a stovetop grill pan if grilling outdoors isn't an option.
