Fresh tomatoes
4 large, ripe
Olive oil
3 tablespoons
Salt
1/2 teaspoon
Black pepper
1/4 teaspoon
Fresh basil leaves
1/4 cup, chopped
Balsamic glaze
2 tablespoons

Instructions

  1. Preheat your grill to medium heat, around 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a small bowl, mix together the olive oil, salt, and black pepper to create a seasoning blend.
  3. Cut the tomatoes in half horizontally and brush the cut sides generously with the olive oil mixture.
  4. Place the tomatoes cut-side down on the grill. Cook for about 5 minutes, or until they have beautiful grill marks and begin to soften.
  5. Carefully turn the tomatoes over and grill for another 5 minutes, or until they're heated through and slightly charred.
  6. Remove the tomatoes from the grill and sprinkle them with the chopped fresh basil.
  7. For an extra layer of flavor, drizzle with balsamic glaze before serving.
