Instructions
- Preheat your grill or skillet over medium-high heat.
- In a mixing bowl, season the ground beef with salt and pepper, then form it into 4 equally sized patties, pressing a slight indentation in the center of each.
- Cook the patties on the grill or skillet for about 5 minutes on each side, or until they reach your desired level of doneness. For medium, aim for an internal temperature of 160°F (71°C).
- While the burgers are cooking, prepare the guacamole by mashing the ripe avocados in a medium bowl. Stir in the lime juice, minced garlic, diced tomato, chopped onion, cilantro, and minced jalapeno. Season with additional salt and pepper to taste.
- Once the burgers are cooked, toast the hamburger buns lightly on the grill or skillet.
- Assemble the burgers by placing a cooked patty on each toasted bun, then top with a generous scoop of the fresh guacamole.
- Serve immediately and enjoy!
Tips
- For added flavor, consider mixing in spices like cumin or smoked paprika into the ground beef before forming the patties.
- You can also add sliced cheese on top of the patties during the last minute of cooking to create a cheesy guacamole burger.
- If you like it spicy, leave the seeds in the jalapeno or add a dash of hot sauce to the guacamole.
