Ingredients

Ground beef
1 pound (80/20 blend for juiciness)
Salt
1 teaspoon, to taste
Black pepper
1/2 teaspoon, to taste
Hamburger buns
4, toasted
Avocados
2, ripe
Lime
1, juiced
Garlic
1 clove, minced
Tomato
1, diced
Onion
1/4 cup, finely chopped
Cilantro
1/4 cup, chopped
Jalapeno
1, seeded and minced (optional for spice)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your grill or skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. In a mixing bowl, season the ground beef with salt and pepper, then form it into 4 equally sized patties, pressing a slight indentation in the center of each.
  3. Cook the patties on the grill or skillet for about 5 minutes on each side, or until they reach your desired level of doneness. For medium, aim for an internal temperature of 160°F (71°C).
  4. While the burgers are cooking, prepare the guacamole by mashing the ripe avocados in a medium bowl. Stir in the lime juice, minced garlic, diced tomato, chopped onion, cilantro, and minced jalapeno. Season with additional salt and pepper to taste.
  5. Once the burgers are cooked, toast the hamburger buns lightly on the grill or skillet.
  6. Assemble the burgers by placing a cooked patty on each toasted bun, then top with a generous scoop of the fresh guacamole.
  7. Serve immediately and enjoy!

Tips

  • 💡 For added flavor, consider mixing in spices like cumin or smoked paprika into the ground beef before forming the patties.
  • 💡 You can also add sliced cheese on top of the patties during the last minute of cooking to create a cheesy guacamole burger.
  • 💡 If you like it spicy, leave the seeds in the jalapeno or add a dash of hot sauce to the guacamole.
