Guinea Gingerbread Coffee

Ingredients

Ground ginger

1 teaspoon

Ground cinnamon

1 teaspoon, plus extra for garnish

Ground nutmeg

1/4 teaspoon

Ground cloves

1/4 teaspoon

Molasses

2 tablespoons

Brown sugar

1 tablespoon

Milk

1 cup

Ground coffee

2 cups brewed

Whipped cream

for topping

Instructions

1. Brew 2 cups of coffee using your preferred method, ensuring it's strong and flavorful.
2. In a small bowl, mix together ground ginger, ground cinnamon, ground nutmeg, and ground cloves. Set aside.
3. In a saucepan, combine molasses, brown sugar, and milk. Heat over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until hot but not boiling.
4. Remove the saucepan from heat and whisk in the spice mixture until fully combined and fragrant.
5. Divide the brewed coffee between two mugs, filling each about halfway.
6. Pour the spiced milk mixture over the coffee in each mug, stirring gently to combine the layers.
7. Top generously with whipped cream and sprinkle with a dash of ground cinnamon for an extra touch of flavor.
8. Serve hot, savoring the cozy aroma and taste with each delightful sip.
