Instructions
- Prepare the tzatziki sauce by combining Greek yogurt, grated cucumber, minced garlic, lemon juice, olive oil, 1/4 teaspoon of salt, and pepper in a bowl. Mix well and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
- Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.
- Grill the hot dogs until they are heated through and have nice grill marks, about 5 minutes, turning occasionally for even cooking.
- While the hot dogs are grilling, warm the pita bread on the grill for about 1 minute on each side until soft and pliable.
- Once the hot dogs are grilled, place one in the center of each warmed pita.
- Top each hot dog generously with tzatziki sauce, followed by the sliced red onions, diced tomatoes, and crumbled feta cheese.
- Fold the pita over the hot dog and toppings, and serve immediately, enjoying the delightful blend of flavors.
Tips
- For a spicier kick, add sliced jalapeños or a drizzle of hot sauce on top.
- You can substitute turkey or veggie hot dogs for a lighter option.
