Fresh raw oysters
1 cup, shucked
Fresh raw clams
1 cup, shucked
Fresh raw fish fillets (such as flounder or sea bass)
1 cup, sliced
Fresh raw scallops
1 cup, sliced
Fresh raw squid
1 cup, cleaned and cut into rings
Fresh raw shrimp
1 cup, peeled and deveined
Scallions
1/4 cup, chopped
Sesame seeds
1 tablespoon, toasted
Sugar
1 teaspoon
Garlic
1 clove, minced
Sesame oil
2 tablespoons
Gochujang (Korean red pepper paste)
2 tablespoons
Soy sauce
2 tablespoons
Fresh vegetables (such as lettuce, perilla leaves, and cucumber)
2 cups, for serving

Instructions

  1. Prepare the seafood by cleaning and removing any shells or innards. Slice the squid into thin rings and keep all seafood chilled until ready to serve.
  2. Arrange the fresh oysters, clams, fish fillets, scallops, squid, and shrimp artistically on a large serving platter.
  3. In a small bowl, prepare the dipping sauce by mixing the soy sauce, gochujang, sesame oil, minced garlic, sugar, and toasted sesame seeds. Stir until well combined.
  4. Serve the seafood alongside the fresh vegetables, allowing diners to take a piece of seafood, dip it in the spicy sauce, and wrap it in a lettuce or perilla leaf for a perfect bite.
