
Halibut Tacos
These delicious halibut tacos are made with fresh halibut fillets, topped with a tangy slaw and served in warm tortillas.
Ingredients
- Salsa (1/2 cup)
- Avocado (1, sliced)
- Tortillas (8)
- Lime juice (1 tablespoon)
- Mayonnaise (1/4 cup)
- Cilantro (1/4 cup, chopped)
- Carrots (1 cup, shredded)
- Cabbage (2 cups, shredded)
- Black pepper (1/4 teaspoon)
- Salt (1/2 teaspoon)
- Garlic powder (1/2 teaspoon)
- Chili powder (1 teaspoon)
- Cumin (1 teaspoon)
- Lime juice (2 tablespoons)
- Halibut fillets (1 lb)
Instructions
- Preheat the grill or stovetop grill pan to medium-high heat.
- In a small bowl, combine lime juice, cumin, chili powder, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper to make a marinade.
- Brush the halibut fillets with the marinade on both sides.
- Grill the halibut fillets for about 4-5 minutes per side, or until cooked through.
- Remove the halibut from the grill and let it rest for a few minutes. Then, flake the fish into bite-sized pieces.
- In a large bowl, combine shredded cabbage, shredded carrots, chopped cilantro, mayonnaise, and lime juice. Toss to coat the slaw.
- Warm the tortillas on the grill or stovetop.
- To assemble the tacos, place a spoonful of the slaw on each tortilla, top with flaked halibut, sliced avocado, and salsa.
- Serve the halibut tacos warm and enjoy!
