Servings: 4
Ingredients
- Hanger steak (1.5 pounds)
- Olive oil (1/4 cup)
- Garlic (4 cloves, minced)
- Fresh rosemary (2 tablespoons, chopped)
- Black pepper (1 teaspoon, freshly ground)
- Salt (1 teaspoon)
Instructions
- Preheat the grill to medium-high heat (about 400°F or 200°C).
- In a small bowl, whisk together the olive oil, minced garlic, chopped rosemary, black pepper, and salt until well combined.
- Pat the hanger steak dry with paper towels and rub the marinade generously all over the steak, ensuring an even coating. Let it marinate for at least 30 minutes (or up to 2 hours for more flavor).
- Once the grill is ready, place the marinated steak on the grill. Cook for 6-8 minutes per side for medium-rare, or until the internal temperature reaches 135°F (57°C). Adjust cooking time for your desired doneness.
- Remove the steak from the grill and let it rest for 5 minutes. This allows the juices to redistribute for a more tender bite.
- Slice the steak against the grain into thin strips and serve hot, garnished with additional rosemary if desired.
