Ingredients

Hanger steak
1 1/2 pounds
Olive oil
1/4 cup
Garlic
4 cloves, minced
Salt
1 teaspoon
Black pepper
1 teaspoon
Fresh rosemary
2 tablespoons, chopped
Fresh thyme
2 tablespoons, chopped
Chimichurri sauce
1/2 cup

Instructions

  1. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
  2. In a small bowl, mix together the olive oil, minced garlic, salt, black pepper, rosemary, and thyme.
  3. Rub the marinade all over the hanger steak, making sure to coat it evenly. Let it marinate for at least 30 minutes at room temperature, or up to 2 hours in the refrigerator for more flavor.
  4. Place the steak on the grill and cook for about 6-8 minutes per side for medium-rare, or until desired doneness is reached.
  5. Remove the steak from the grill and let it rest for 5 minutes before slicing.
  6. Slice the steak against the grain and serve hot with chimichurri sauce drizzled on top or on the side.

Tips

  • 💡 For a smoky flavor, consider adding wood chips to the grill.
  • 💡 If you prefer a thicker marinade, reduce the olive oil to 3 tablespoons and add a tablespoon of Dijon mustard.
