to taste
Fresh basil (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat a panini press or grill pan over medium heat.
  2. Spread softened butter on one side of each slice of bread to ensure a golden, crispy crust.
  3. Lay half of the bread slices buttered side down on a clean surface. Place a slice of Havarti cheese on each of these slices.
  4. Layer fresh tomato slices on top of the cheese, and season with salt and pepper to enhance the flavors. For an extra burst of flavor, add a few fresh basil leaves.
  5. Top with the remaining bread slices, ensuring the buttered side is facing up.
  6. Carefully place the sandwiches on the panini press or grill pan.

  8. Remove from the heat and allow the panini to cool for a couple of minutes before slicing them in half.
  9. Serve hot and enjoy this comforting dish!
