Red onion
4 slices
Tomato
4 slices
Lettuce leaves
4
Hamburger buns

Ground beef
1 pound
Brown sugar
1/4 cup
Ketchup
1/2 cup
Worcestershire sauce
1 tablespoon
Apple cider vinegar
1 tablespoon
Mustard
1 tablespoon

Instructions

  1. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
  2. Season the ground beef with salt and pepper and divide into 4 equal portions. Shape each portion into a patty.
  3. Grill the patties for 5 minutes on each side, or until they reach your desired level of doneness.
  4. Grill the pineapple slices for 2 minutes on each side, until they have beautiful grill marks.
  5. While the burgers and pineapples are grilling, make the barbecue sauce. In a small saucepan, combine the brown sugar, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, apple cider vinegar, and mustard. Bring to a simmer over medium heat and cook for about 5 minutes, until the sauce thickens.
  6. Spread a generous amount of barbecue sauce on the bottom halves of the hamburger buns.
  7. Layer a lettuce leaf, a burger patty, a pineapple slice, a tomato slice, and a red onion slice on each bun bottom.
  8. Finish with the top half of the bun and serve while hot.
