Herb Buttered Pasta
A simple yet flavorful Italian side dish featuring al dente pasta coated in a rich herb-infused butter sauce, perfect for complementing any main course.
Ingredients
- 8 ounces (spaghetti or fettuccine) Pasta
- 1/2 cup (1 stick) Unsalted butter
- 1/4 cup, chopped Fresh parsley
- 1/4 cup, chopped Fresh basil
- 3 cloves, minced Garlic
- 1 teaspoon Lemon zest

- to taste Black pepper

Instructions
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1/2 cup of pasta water and drain the rest.
- In a large skillet over medium heat, melt the unsalted butter. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant but not browned.
- Stir in the chopped parsley, basil, and lemon zest. Cook for an additional minute to allow the herbs to infuse the butter.
- Add the drained pasta to the skillet and toss to coat in the herb butter. If the pasta seems dry, add some reserved pasta water until the desired consistency is reached.
- Season with salt and black pepper to taste. Serve immediately.
