2 ounces
Orange liqueur (like Cointreau or Triple Sec)
1 ounce
Simple syrup
1/2 ounce
Freshly squeezed lime juice
1 ounce
Salt
to taste (for rimming the glass)
Lime wedge
for garnish

Instructions

  1. Begin by rimming your glass with salt. To do this, run a lime wedge around the rim of the glass and then dip it into a plate of salt.
  2. In a cocktail shaker, combine the tequila, orange liqueur, simple syrup, and freshly squeezed lime juice.
  3. Fill the shaker with ice and shake vigorously for about 15 seconds.
  4. Strain the mixture into the prepared glass filled with ice.
  5. Garnish with a lime wedge on the rim of the glass.
