  • Salt (1/2 teaspoon)
  • Water (1.5 cups (adjust as needed for batter consistency))
  • Oil (for greasing the pan)

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, thoroughly combine the whole wheat flour, rice flour, finely chopped onion, green chili, cumin seeds, and salt.
  2. Gradually pour in water while stirring continuously to achieve a smooth, thin batter. The consistency should resemble pancake batter; adjust with more water if necessary.
  3. Heat a non-stick pan over medium heat and lightly grease it with a drizzle of oil.
  4. Once the pan is hot, pour a ladleful of batter into the center and quickly spread it evenly in a circular motion to form a thin dosa.
  5. Drizzle a little oil around the edges of the dosa and allow it to cook for about 2-3 minutes, or until the bottom turns a beautiful golden brown.
  6. Gently flip the dosa using a spatula and cook the other side for an additional 1-2 minutes until it is golden brown.
