Ingredients
- Strong brewed coffee
- 2 cups
- Irish cream liqueur
- 4 tablespoons
- Whipped cream
- 2 dollops
- Chocolate shavings
- 2 tablespoons
Instructions
- Brew a strong coffee of your preference. The strength of the coffee should be enough to balance the sweetness of the Irish cream liqueur.
- Pour the freshly brewed coffee into two large mugs, filling each about 3/4 full. This leaves ample room for the Irish cream liqueur and whipped cream.
- Carefully add 2 tablespoons of Irish cream liqueur to each mug. Stir gently until the liqueur is fully incorporated into the coffee.
- Generously top each mug with a dollop of whipped cream. The cream should float on top of the coffee, creating a beautiful contrast.
- Finish off with a sprinkle of rich chocolate shavings on top of the whipped cream. This adds an extra layer of flavor and a touch of elegance.
- Serve your Authentic Irish Cream Coffee hot, ensuring to enjoy the layered flavors with each sip.
Tips
- For an extra treat, you can also add a spoonful of brown sugar or a drizzle of caramel sauce to your coffee before adding the Irish cream liqueur.
- If you prefer a dairy-free version, almond or coconut milk are excellent alternatives for the whipped cream.
- To make your own Irish cream liqueur, blend together Irish whiskey, heavy cream, sweetened condensed milk, instant coffee granules, vanilla extract, and almond extract.
