- Basmati Rice

Instructions
- Rinse the basmati rice under cold running water until the water runs clear. This step helps to remove the excess starch and prevents the rice from becoming sticky.
- In a large saucepan, melt the ghee or butter over medium heat. Once melted, add the cumin seeds.
- Cook the cumin seeds until they start to sizzle and release a fragrant aroma. This process of toasting the cumin seeds enriches the flavor of the rice.
- Add the rinsed basmati rice to the saucepan. Stir and sauté for 2-3 minutes to allow the rice to absorb the flavors from the cumin and ghee or butter.
- Pour in the water and add the salt. Stir well and bring the mixture to a boil over high heat.
