Jugo de Mora (Latin American Blackberry Juice)

Ingredients
- Ice

- Sugar
- 1/2 cup (adjust to taste)
- Water
- 4 cups, divided
- Fresh Blackberries
- 2 cups
Instructions
- Begin by washing the blackberries thoroughly under running water.
- Transfer the cleaned blackberries to a blender and add half of the water (2 cups). Blend on high speed until you have a smooth mixture.
- Place a fine mesh sieve over a large pitcher. Pour the blackberry mixture into the sieve, pressing down with a spoon to extract as much juice as possible. Discard the remaining solids.
- Into the pitcher, add the remaining water (2 cups) and the sugar. Stir the mixture until the sugar has completely dissolved.
- Chill the juice in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour before serving. When ready to serve, pour the juice over ice cubes in individual glasses.
- Enjoy this refreshing Jugo de Mora as a standalone drink or as a complement to your favorite Latin dishes.
