Original recipe serves 4

Dried jujubes
10-12 pieces
Water
4 cups
Fresh ginger
1 inch, sliced
Cinnamon stick
1 stick
Brown sugar or honey
2 tablespoons (to taste)

Instructions

  1. Rinse the dried jujubes under cold water to remove any impurities.
  2. In a pot, combine the rinsed jujubes, sliced ginger, cinnamon stick, and water.
  3. Bring the mixture to a boil over high heat, stirring occasionally.
  4. Once boiling, reduce the heat to low and let it simmer uncovered for about 20 minutes to extract all the flavors.
  5. After 20 minutes, stir in the brown sugar or honey until fully dissolved, adjusting the sweetness to your preference.
  6. Remove from heat and strain the tea into cups, discarding the solid ingredients.
  7. Serve hot and enjoy the warming properties of this soothing tea.
