Ingredients

Chicken breast
1.5 pounds, cut into bite-sized pieces
Yogurt
1 cup, plain
Lemon juice
2 tablespoons
Garlic
4 cloves, minced
Ginger
1 tablespoon, grated
Cumin powder
1 teaspoon
Coriander powder
1 teaspoon
Paprika
1 teaspoon
Black pepper
1/2 teaspoon
Salt
1 teaspoon
Vegetable oil
2 tablespoons, for brushing
Skewers
8 (if using wooden skewers, soak them in water for 30 minutes)

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the yogurt, lemon juice, minced garlic, grated ginger, cumin powder, coriander powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well-blended.
  2. Add the chicken pieces to the marinade, ensuring they are evenly coated. Cover the bowl and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, or overnight for enhanced flavor.
  3. Preheat the grill or broiler to medium-high heat.
  4. Thread the marinated chicken pieces onto the soaked skewers, leaving a little space between each piece for even cooking.
  5. Brush the skewers with vegetable oil to prevent sticking.
  6. Place the skewers on the grill or under the broiler. Cook for about 10-12 minutes, turning occasionally, until the chicken is cooked through and has a nice char on the edges.
  7. Remove from heat and let rest for a few minutes before serving.
