Servings: 4
Ingredients
- Kale
- 1 bunch, stems removed and leaves torn into bite-sized pieces
- Olive oil
- 1 tablespoon
- Sea salt
- 1/2 teaspoon
- Garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon (optional)
- Paprika
- 1/4 teaspoon (optional)
- Nutritional yeast
- 2 tablespoons (optional, for a cheesy flavor)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Carefully remove the kale leaves from the thick stems and tear them into bite-sized pieces, ensuring they are all roughly the same size for even cooking.
- In a large mixing bowl, drizzle the kale pieces with olive oil and sprinkle with sea salt. Toss well to ensure all the kale is evenly coated.
- For added flavor, sprinkle in garlic powder, paprika, and nutritional yeast if desired. Toss again to distribute the seasonings evenly.
- Lay the kale pieces out on the prepared baking sheet in a single layer, making sure they are not overcrowded to allow for proper crisping.
- Bake in the preheated oven for about 10 to 15 minutes, or until the edges of the kale are brown and crispy but not burnt. Keep a close eye on them in the last few minutes, as they can quickly go from perfectly crispy to burnt.
- Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes before enjoying. For best results, store any leftovers in an airtight container to maintain their crispness.
