Kiwi Strawberry Limeade

Dive into the vibrant flavors of summer with this refreshing Kiwi Strawberry Limeade! This delightful drink combines the sweet and tangy notes of ripe strawberries and zesty limes, perfectly complemented by the tropical essence of kiwi. Ideal for sunny days, picnics, or any festive gathering, this limeade not only quenches your thirst but also brings a burst of color and cheer to your table. Historically, limeade has been enjoyed for centuries as a cooling beverage, and in this version, we take it to the next level with fresh fruits and mint, creating a drink that feels both classic and innovative.

Serves 4

Ingredients

Mint leaves
1/4 cup, plus extra for garnish
Ice
as needed
Water
2 cups
Sugar
1/4 cup (adjust to taste)
Limes
4, juiced (about 1 cup of lime juice)
Strawberries
2 cups, hulled and sliced
Kiwi
2, peeled and chopped

Instructions

  1. In a blender, combine the chopped kiwi, sliced strawberries, freshly squeezed lime juice, sugar, and water.
  2. Blend on high speed until the mixture is smooth and the fruit is fully puréed.
  3. Strain the mixture through a fine mesh sieve into a large pitcher to remove any seeds or pulp, pressing down with a spatula to extract as much liquid as possible.
  4. Taste the limeade and adjust the sweetness by adding more sugar if desired. Stir well to dissolve any additional sugar.
  5. Chill the mixture in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour to enhance the flavors.
  6. To serve, fill glasses with ice and pour the chilled kiwi strawberry limeade over the ice until full.
  7. Garnish each glass with fresh mint leaves for an aromatic finish.
  8. Serve immediately and enjoy the refreshing burst of flavors!

Tips

  • 💡 For an extra twist, add a splash of sparkling water before serving for a fizzy delight.
  • 💡 You can substitute agave syrup or honey for sugar for a natural sweetener option.
  • 💡 Try adding other fruits like pineapple or mango for a tropical variation!
