- Korean BBQ Sauce (1/2 cup)
- Mozzarella cheese (2 cups, shredded)
- Bulgogi beef (1 pound, thinly sliced)
- Green onions (1/4 cup, chopped)
- Red onion (1/4 cup, thinly sliced)
- Cilantro (1/4 cup, chopped)
- Sesame seeds (1 tablespoon, toasted)
- Soy sauce (1/4 cup (for marinade and sauce))
- Brown sugar (2 tablespoons (for marinade and sauce))
- Garlic (3 cloves, minced)
- Ginger (1 tablespoon, grated)
- Gochujang (1 tablespoon)
- Apple cider vinegar (1 tablespoon)
- Sugar (1 tablespoon (for marinade))
- Sesame oil (1 tablespoon (for marinade))
- Black pepper (1/2 teaspoon)
- Pear (1/2, grated (for marinade))
- Onion (1/2, grated (for marinade))
Instructions
- For the Korean BBQ sauce, in a small saucepan, combine 1/4 cup soy sauce, 2 tablespoons brown sugar, 3 minced garlic cloves, 1 tablespoon grated ginger, 1 tablespoon gochujang, and 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar. Bring to a simmer over medium heat, stirring until the sugar is dissolved. Remove from heat and let it cool.
- For the bulgogi beef marinade, in a bowl, mix together 1/4 cup soy sauce, 1 tablespoon sugar, 1 tablespoon sesame oil, 3 minced garlic cloves, 1/2 teaspoon black pepper, 1/2 grated pear, and 1/2 grated onion. Add the thinly sliced beef and marinate in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour, or overnight for the best flavor.
- Cook the marinated beef over medium heat in a skillet until cooked through, about 5-7 minutes. Remove from heat and set aside.
- Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C). If using a pizza stone, place it in the oven while it preheats.
- On a floured surface, roll out the pizza dough to your desired thickness.
- Spread the Korean BBQ sauce evenly over the dough, leaving a small border for the crust.
- Sprinkle half of the mozzarella cheese over the sauce, followed by the cooked bulgogi beef, green onions, and red onion.
- Top with the remaining mozzarella cheese.
- Transfer the pizza onto the preheated pizza stone or place it on a baking sheet.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the crust is golden and the cheese is bubbly and slightly browned.
- Remove from the oven and garnish with chopped cilantro and toasted sesame seeds.
- Slice and serve immediately, ideally with a side of fresh cucumber salad or kimchi.
