Korean BBQ Pork Belly

This Korean BBQ pork belly recipe features tender and flavorful slices of marinated pork belly grilled to perfection.

Ingredients

  • Vegetable oil (1 tablespoon)
  • Toasted sesame seeds (1 tablespoon)
  • Green onions (4, chopped)
  • Pear (1, grated)
  • Brown sugar (2 tablespoons)
  • Sesame oil (1 tablespoon)
  • Ginger (1 tablespoon, grated)
  • Garlic (4 cloves, minced)
  • Soy sauce (1/4 cup)
  • Pork belly (1.5 pounds, thinly sliced)

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine soy sauce, minced garlic, grated ginger, sesame oil, brown sugar, grated pear, chopped green onions, and toasted sesame seeds. Mix well to make the marinade.
  2. Place the thinly sliced pork belly in a ziplock bag or a shallow dish. Pour the marinade over the pork belly, making sure all slices are coated. Marinate in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours, or overnight for best results.
  3. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
  4. Remove the pork belly from the marinade and shake off any excess marinade. Brush the grill grates with vegetable oil to prevent sticking.
  5. Grill the pork belly slices for about 2-3 minutes per side, or until nicely charred and cooked through.
  6. Transfer the grilled pork belly to a serving platter and let it rest for a few minutes.
