Instructions
- In a small bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, sesame oil, minced garlic, grated ginger, brown sugar, red pepper flakes, cornstarch, and water. This will be your sauce mixture. Set aside.
- Heat the cooking oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Ensure the oil is hot before adding the beef.
- Add the thinly sliced beef to the skillet in a single layer. Stir fry for 2-3 minutes, or until the beef is browned and cooked through. Remove the beef from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add the broccoli florets and stir fry for 3-4 minutes, until they are bright green and crisp-tender.
- Return the cooked beef to the skillet with the broccoli. Pour the sauce mixture over the beef and broccoli.
- Stir fry everything together for an additional 2-3 minutes, allowing the sauce to thicken and coat the beef and broccoli evenly.
- Remove from heat and garnish with sliced green onions and toasted sesame seeds.
- Serve hot over steamed rice or noodles for a complete meal.
Tips
- For an extra layer of flavor, marinate the beef in the soy sauce, sesame oil, garlic, and ginger for 30 minutes before cooking.
- Add other vegetables like bell peppers, snap peas, or carrots for more color and nutrition.
- Serve with a sprinkle of additional sesame seeds for added crunch.
