Instructions
- In a bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, salt, and black pepper until well mixed.
- Heat butter in a non-stick pan over medium heat. Once melted, add the chopped onion, bell pepper, and diced ham. Saute until the vegetables are softened and the ham is lightly browned.
- Pour the egg mixture into the pan, covering the sautéed vegetables and ham. Cook until the edges of the omelette start to set.
- Using a spatula, fold the edges of the omelette towards the center to create a square shape. Continue cooking until the omelette is fully set and lightly browned on both sides.
- While the omelette is cooking, prepare the sauce by mixing together the mayonnaise, ketchup, and sugar in a small bowl until well combined.
- Toast the bread slices until golden brown.
- Spread the prepared sauce on one side of each toasted bread slice.
- Place the cooked omelette on one slice of bread, and then cover with the other slice to form a sandwich.
- Slice the sandwich diagonally and serve hot.
Tips
- Use whole grain bread for a healthier option.
- Add cheese to the omelette for a creamy texture.
