Servings: 4

Ingredients

Green onions
4, thinly sliced
Rice
2 cups, cooked
Lettuce leaves
1 head, separated into individual leaves
Sugar
1 tablespoon
Ginger
2 tablespoons, freshly grated
Garlic
4 cloves, minced
Sesame oil
2 tablespoons
Soy sauce
1/2 cup
Kimchi
2 cups, chopped
Pork belly
1 lb, sliced

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, combine the soy sauce, sesame oil, minced garlic, grated ginger, and sugar to create the marinade.
  2. Add the sliced pork belly to the marinade, ensuring all pieces are well-coated. Let it marinate in the refrigerator for at least 20 minutes.
  3. Preheat a grill or a pan over medium-high heat. Add the marinated pork belly slices and cook for about 2-3 minutes on each side, until they are thoroughly cooked and slightly caramelized.
  4. Remove the pork belly from the heat and let it rest for a few minutes. Then, slice it into bite-sized pieces.
  5. Assemble the wraps: Place a lettuce leaf on a plate. Top it with a spoonful of cooked rice, a few pieces of pork belly, a spoonful of kimchi, and a sprinkle of green onions.
  6. Gently fold the lettuce leaf around the filling, similar to wrapping a burrito.
  7. Repeat the assembly process with the remaining ingredients.
  8. Serve your Authentic Korean Kimchi and Pork Belly Lettuce Wraps immediately and enjoy the blend of flavors from this traditional Korean dish.
