Servings: 4

Ingredients

  • Sesame seeds (1 tablespoon, toasted)
  • Green onions (2, chopped for garnish)
  • Vegetable oil (2 tablespoons)
  • Sesame oil (1 tablespoon)
  • Ginger (1 tablespoon, freshly grated)
  • Garlic (3 cloves, minced)
  • Honey (2 tablespoons)
  • Soy sauce (1/4 cup)
  • Gochujang (Korean red pepper paste) (3 tablespoons)
  • Chicken wings (2 lbs)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, combine gochujang, soy sauce, honey, minced garlic, grated ginger, sesame oil, and vegetable oil. Mix until the ingredients are well incorporated.
  3. Add the chicken wings to the bowl. Toss until they are evenly coated with the marinade. Let them marinate for at least 30 minutes for better flavor absorption.
  4. Arrange the marinated chicken wings on the prepared baking sheet. Ensure they are spaced out to allow for even cooking.
  5. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the wings are crispy and thoroughly cooked.
  6. While the wings are baking, prepare the garnish. Chop the green onions and toast the sesame seeds in a dry pan over low heat until they are golden brown and aromatic.
  7. Once the wings are done, remove them from the oven and let them cool for a few minutes.
  8. Sprinkle the wings with the toasted sesame seeds and chopped green onions before serving. Enjoy while hot!
