Korean Style Spaghetti Carbonara

This is a fusion dish that combines the creamy richness of Italian carbonara with the spicy kick of Korean cuisine.

Ingredients

  • Green onions (2, chopped)
  • Salt and pepper (to taste)
  • Gochujang (korean red chili paste) (1 tablespoon)
  • Parmesan cheese (1/2 cup, grated)
  • Eggs (2)
  • Garlic (2 cloves, minced)
  • Bacon (100 grams, diced)
  • Spaghetti (200 grams)

Instructions

  1. Cook the spaghetti according to the package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large pan, cook the bacon over medium heat until crispy. Remove the bacon from the pan and set aside.
  3. In the same pan, add the minced garlic and cook until fragrant.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the eggs, Parmesan cheese, and gochujang.
  5. Turn off the heat under the pan. Add the cooked spaghetti and the egg mixture to the pan and toss until the spaghetti is well coated.
  6. Add the cooked bacon and toss again. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  7. Serve the spaghetti carbonara topped with chopped green onions.
