Servings: 4
Ingredients
- Ground pork
- 1 pound
- Breadcrumbs
- 1/2 cup
- Egg
- 1, beaten
- Onion
- 1 small, finely chopped
- Garlic
- 2 cloves, minced
- Fresh parsley
- 2 tablespoons, chopped
- Dijon mustard
- 1 tablespoon
- Salt
- 1 teaspoon
- Pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon
- Vegetable oil
- 2 tablespoons (for frying)
- Mustard sauce
- optional
Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground pork, breadcrumbs, beaten egg, finely chopped onion, minced garlic, chopped parsley, Dijon mustard, salt, and pepper. Use your hands or a spatula to mix well until all ingredients are evenly incorporated.
- Shape the mixture into patties, approximately 1/2 inch thick. For uniformity, you can use a measuring cup or a cookie cutter.
- Heat the vegetable oil in a skillet over medium heat. Ensure the oil is hot enough by dropping a small piece of the mixture into the pan; it should sizzle.
- Add the patties to the skillet, making sure not to overcrowd the pan. Cook for about 5-7 minutes on each side, or until they are golden brown and cooked through. Use a meat thermometer to check for doneness; the internal temperature should reach 160°F (70°C).
- Serve the Krebinetter hot with your choice of side dishes such as boiled potatoes or a fresh salad. For a delightful variation, serve them in a soft burger bun with lettuce, tomato, and your favorite toppings. A drizzle of mustard sauce can elevate the flavors.
