Lavashak
Lavashak, a traditional Persian fruit leather, is a delightful blend of dried fruits, sugar, and a hint of lemon and cinnamon. This sweet and tangy snack has been enjoyed in Iran for centuries. It's believed that this 'fruit leather' was created to preserve fruits' nutritional value during long, cold winters. Over the years, Lavashak has remained a favorite, particularly among children and travelers, due to its portable nature. This homemade Lavashak recipe is a healthier alternative to store-bought fruit roll-ups, free from artificial preservatives. It pairs beautifully with a cup of Persian tea or can be served as a sweet treat after a meal of Chelow kabab, a popular Iranian dish.
